A student of Hindustani music from her childhood, Madhura Dhara graduated from the Kalakshetra Foundation after intense studies in Carnatic music, a practice she continues her training in under Dr. Nanditha Ravi in addition to studies in Hindustani music under Nirbhay Saxena.

Her debut in Indian film music as the voice behind 'Unakaga' from the movie Bigil composed by iconic South Asian composer AR Rahman put her on radar of mainstream media who have hailed her as one of the most promising singers in the Indian subcontinent.
